Alfred the Great's daughter, Æthelflæd was one of Anglo-Saxon England's most intriguing figures. Known as the 'Lady of the Mercians', she helped direct the fight against the Viking invaders and protect her homeland. Spencer Mizen spoke to Michael Wood to find out more about her life and times.
