Jane Seymour
Jane Seymour was queen of England from 1536 to 1537 as the third wife of Henry VIII. Jane is remembered for being the only wife to provide Henry with a son and male heir and she is often considered to be the Tudor king's favourite wife. Jane served both Henry VIII's first and second wives, Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, and became betrothed to Henry the day after Anne's execution in 1536. Jane gave birth to a son, the future Edward VI, on 12 October 1537 but died less than two weeks later on 24 October after suffering an illness suspected to have been puerperal fever
